"Blow your mind!"

It's been a while since I have posted something on ensem-BLAH and all for the sole reason that nothing has inspired me. I've been looking to write about something that stirs that little place in your heart where a sudden feeling of butterflies takes over and inspiration floods in, taking over your mind. Images start flicking and all of a sudden your mind is filled to the brim with food for thought and inspirational stories yet to be told.

Where I found that something to write about was supposed to happen yesterday, but because of a gentle journey into London and a night of tuxedos and bubbles (or should I say baubles?) we were too late to go, and so decided to hold up until today, the 7th of December 2013. After a chat about it we were joined by family and friends and that's how I recommend you do this. Take your hand and place it in someone else's, skip over the crumbling autumn leaves and find yourself paying only £12.50 to be overcome by inspiration and a personality, where even though she rests now, an energy I never knew surges out from the brilliantly placed and curated  exhibition of the fabulous...Isabella Blow, "Fashion Galore."

With iconic pieces by Hussein Chalayan, the first collection  by Alexander McQueen,  that was bought in its entirety by Isabella Blow, hats such as the Arrows of Love  by Philip Treacy, and for many of our party the haunting yet beautiful piece of sculptural art where birds of a feather flock around a Manolo Blahnik creating a silhouette on the wall where Isabelle's profile, as long as the light is behind, will forever be a shadow of a head on a stake.

I don't want to give too much away as you should go and feel it for yourself. Be surrounded by the depth of darkness between black velvet curtains.Let your mind be stimulated by the vast images that heat the surfaces they are portrayed on. Get up close to the fabric that inspired the business we call FASHION. Learn about a soul that would rake in talent and then let the world enjoy it still to this day. Be aware that at times you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by the endless display of art, that your emotions are stirred to the point where your breath is held for a moment.

My darlings, take it all in.

There are many people that Daphne Guinness thanks in the below interview (follow the link) but by golly gosh, this lady has done a brilliant job of portraying a person, and as mentioned before encapsulating that energy that would be a force to be reckoned with. This exhibition for me also really helps to support and imbed my belief that fashion is not just the clothes on your back but so much more. It filters through the brilliance of imagination and down to that shelf where the possibility is endless.

Go Blow your mind and let that seed of inspiration grow into Fashion Galore.
