"Beige Society"

My phone buzzed along my desk on what we are calling the only days of summer, here in England. It was a muggy day and when I found what I had been sent I was amazed that they are still out and about. This beige glove with a faux fur trim was found in Tenterden and kindly supplied by my gorgeous lover.

The funny thing is when I spent Boxing Day with dear friends in Tenterden I noticed, as we gathered for the gathering of horseman and hounds, that the general public were all wearing beige.

Does society wear beige all the time? Well maybe they do...even in Spring.

"MOI CHERRY"

The other night, well a week ago, a lovely lady walked into my place of walk. A restaurant and a "Waiter" met the darling Julia Beckford. As a beautician in Hayes, Middlesex she works her own beauty parlour, "Beauty by Julia" with the same grace and presence...I am sure...as she did the night we met.

She walked in with this gorgeous overcoat which complimented her full circle dress underneath. With bold hibiscus flowers, drama spelt its name in the air the way we do when playing with sparklers. It was bold and the fact it was Red and Black, I just fell in love with two of my favourite colour ways all over again. Her coat is from the brilliant, yet only the brave shop there, Desigual. You can always find a keeper amongst the bold patterns, mixed fabrications and prints in there.

The best is yet to come. I love taking pictures of my ensem-BLIST'S however I die a little when they don't seem to be enjoying the fact that they are on show. Julia you changed that for me. Your pose spoke of a woman experienced in choosing the right dress for your figure and feeling confident and beautiful in it. As a snapped the picture I loved how this extremely feminine dress came to life thanks to the woman in it. Julia having fun whilst dressed up is all it takes when dressing up.

The cherry print of this dress is just too brilliant. A proud owner of a Camden (London) find by Collectif. The sweat heart neck line is perfect for giving your décolletage a stage to wear a lovely necklace as done here by our lovely Julia. The waist slims her down into a blooming, full circle skirt. The bold silhouette and print are so consistent and that pleases me.

For me, "Moi Cherry" you made my night. Thank you, darling.

"SPRING GLOVES?"

What the hell is happening to our weather here in the UK. We are in April and supposedly halfway through spring however coats still remain the choice of garment to keep us warm and gloves litter our streets and in some cases our office.

Keep hold of your gloves people and hopefully our weather might start improving. Think about it, where do these gloves go when the streets get cleaned. Are gloves contributing toward global warming?

Think about the effort it takes to make gloves, then distribute them. Then you decide one day you need a pair. Think about the effort it takes to get them. Now think about the little effort it takes to lose a glove or in some cases a pair? Not much effort. Now think about the man who sweeps our streets. Once he is done where do they all go?

That would be a very interesting case study. Anyway here are a few of the gloves I have found...

Is our weather going down a man hole?

Read between the lines...

This was in my office at work...micro-wave...get it?

Think about our children's future...take care of your gloves.

"PURPLE REIGN"

The instant you meet someone they make an impression on you. That first impression is so exciting and goes something like this,"Oh my god I need to put you on my blog."

Another typical Saturday night, hen parties coming and going and BOOM! In walks Nikki Sanderson. The first thing you notice is her purple washed hair with pink streaks and a studded purple crown, a purchase off eBAY all the way from Hong Kong.

Along with the unicorns that dance on her arms, inside my mind inspiration took over and I just couldn't wait to introduce you to her. Without further ado I give you her and her ensem-BLAH...

The tattoos you see on her arm were done by Vlad Oktavian, a talented tattooist based in 37 Old London Road in Kingston upon Thames, England. Follow the link below to check out and LIKE the facebook page!

All her other tattoo's were done by a variety of artist including Amy Savage.

You are most probably wondering what Nikki does? Nikki is a Pole Fitness Instructor in the evening and by day she works in Office Shoes in Canterbury. Talking of shoes lets check hers out.

I am a lover of female shoes and often I have spoken about the time I stamped my feet whilst blurting out how I wished I was a girl so I could wear such brilliantly uncomfortable things. So upon gazing at this fabulous specimen of an ensem-BLIST I noticed her shoes.

Giddy up little pony, these boots are made for walking...

The cute ankle, laced finished socks that peer over these glorious shoes add more to the Princess attitude Nikki is pulling off. With baby pink ribbon laces and tailor made shoes made by "Electric Starshine" based in Australia this girl is ready to party in the palace.

Electric Starshine is a destination for unique and quirky shoes. The great part is, you can choose the fabric you want the shoes to be covered in. Check out some off their stuff and get strutting...

Nikki's style is unique in every possible way and I feel a heavy influence from the Harajuku Girls and Boys based in Japan however bringing it to the English shores. She has had her necklace
since she was eight...it's a Polly Pocket.

Nikki Sanderson we thank you for your style and inspiration...bring on the Purple Reign!
